Stacy Forchetti is an attorney in the firm’s family law practice group, and specializes in divorce, support, custody and Protection from Abuse matters.  Ms. Forchetti is known for her attention to clients and tireless advocacy for those in need, and she uses her significant experience as a litigator to inform and enhance her family law practice.

Ms. Forchetti joined Weir Greenblatt Pierce as the natural progression in her lifelong passion for pursuing justice and giving voice to the voiceless. During her time as an undergraduate at Pennsylvania State University, she served the State College community as a volunteer through service sorority Gamma Sigma Sigma and worked with others in student government as building president of her dormitory.  At Temple University Beasley School of Law, Ms. Forchetti was a member of the Student Public Interest Network, Political and Civil Rights Law Review, and Secretary of the Student Bar Association.  Upon graduation, she received the Lena C. Hale award for Outstanding Contribution to Extracurricular Activities.

As a new lawyer, Ms. Forchetti clerked for the Honorable Emanuel A. Bertin in Montgomery County, assisting in writing opinions in the world of family law.  After her clerkship, Ms. Forchetti joined the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where she litigated hundreds of cases and dozens of jury trials over her twelve years as a prosecutor.  At the time of her departure for private practice, Ms. Forchetti was the designated Assistant District Attorney for shootings in the Northwest section of Philadelphia.

In private practice, Ms. Forchetti turned her focus to family law, having trained as a mediator in her ongoing quest to continue learning.  Her work in divorce, support, custody and Protection from Abuse matters is enhanced by her extensive experience as a litigator.

In the community, Ms. Forchetti continues to give voice to the voiceless through her work as a board member for the Vidocq Society, a private organization comprised of current and former law enforcement, prosecutors, scientists, and other professionals dedicated to solving cold case homicides.  She is also on the board of FemCity and the Walnut Club, and is active with the Junior League of Philadelphia.  Ms. Forchetti also has coached Central High School’s Mock Trial Team since 2015.  In her free time, Ms. Forchetti is an avid reader and exerciser.
