Biography
Brett A. Datto has over 32 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and has been with the firm since 1999. During this time, he has represented clients in disputes involving multi-million-dollar contract claims, construction, environmental, banking, insurance, real estate and employment issues, as well as business torts and state and federal criminal defense. Mr. Datto also has extensive experience handling professional negligence claims and serves as an expert witness for both plaintiffs and defendants in negligence-related disputes.
Mr. Datto is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Justinian Society and is a former barrister in the Temple American Inn of Court, a group designed to improve the skills, professionalism and legal ethics of the bench and bar. Mr. Datto presently serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for both the Major Jury and Commerce Court programs in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Mr. Datto also serves as President of The Darren Daulton Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to those who suffer from brain tumors and brain cancer. Mr. Datto previously served on the Board of Directors of the Blue White Scholarship Foundation at Villanova University, The Cheltenham Center for the Arts, and on the Board of Directors of Marley’s Mission, a charity that was once voted as “Best New Charity in America.”
