Philadelphia – March 12, 2019 – Attorney Joshua M. Baker has joined the Employment Law and Civil Rights practice groups of Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt and Flores, LLC (WGP) as an associate. His work will focus on securing justice and compensation for those whose rights have been violated in the workplace and elsewhere. Baker has worked for the firm for nearly four years as a law clerk.
During most of his tenure as a law clerk, Baker was also a full-time law student at Rutgers Law School where he was a Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholar. Working at the firm while attending law school allowed Baker to develop his practical legal skills in the workplace while learning abstract legal theory and doctrine in the classroom.
During the fall of 2017, Baker served as an intern in the chambers of the Honorable Theodore A. McKee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. As a law student, he excelled in the study of employment law and, in recognition of his achievements in that area, was presented with the American Bar Association and Bureau of National Affairs Labor and Employment Law Award by the Rutgers Law School faculty prior to his graduation in May of 2018.
He also graduated cum laude from Rutgers University in 2010, earning a B.A. with high honors in sociology. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Baker taught English as a foreign language in South Korea from 2011 to 2014 before returning to the U.S. and joining WGP. He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
